Karim Dhala is the Chief Corporate Officer of Qualitas Health. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wales, United Kingdom in July 1983. In 1988, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is currently a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He joined Ferguson Maidment & Co in London, a chartered accountants firm as an audit trainee in 1983, promoted as an audit manager in the same firm in 1988. From 1988 until 1989, he joined BDO Binder Hamlyn as a tax senior. He joined Morgan Stanley International Limited from 1989 until 1992 and was involved in the financial accounting of the company in liaison with the company’s other European offices. He joined South East Asia Development Corporation Berhad (“Seacorp”) (now known as MIDF Amanah Capital Berhad) which is principally an investment holding and property holding company, as the Group Financial Controller from 1992 until 1994. During his tenure with Seacorp, he was also appointed as an Executive Director of Seacorp’s finance subsidiary company, Malaysian Credit Finance Berhad. He joined Prima Prai Sdn Bhd, a property development company as a Finance Director from 1994 until 1998.
In 1999, he joined Qualitas Health as a General Manager and later in 2005, he was promoted. He is responsible for the company’s business plans and corporate affairs.
